It’s funny how life surprises you. I would have laughed in disbelief a year and a half ago if someone had told me that I would be heading to New York City in 5 days to attend the Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference and Fashion’s Night Out.
I would have thought: “Why on earth would I need to attend Evolving Influence? No one even visits my blog!” and “Fashion’s Night out is something I read about, not something I actually participate in!”
Fast forward to 2011 and here I am, getting ready for my first IFB Conference and FNO, with a touch of New York Fashion Week thrown in for good measure.

As excited as I am about the events themselves, the thing that is truly making me giddy with anticipation is the thought of meeting so many of the people that have become a part of my life through their blogs. They inspire me daily through their words, their passion, their courage and their style… and now they will finally become more than faces/voices on the other side of a computer monitor. They will finally be real.
It’s almost too much too handle. In a good great “I want to hug everyone when I see them” sort of way.
