I admit it. I watch The Bachelor/Bachelorette. Every season I tell myself “this is the last time” but every season I come back. At first it was because I was naive enough to actually believe people were contestants for the right reasons. They were all looking for love! Really!
Fast forward to the end of Jason Mesnick’s season and that horrible “After The Final Rose Ceremony”. That was when I realized how fake it all was. It was all about ratings, nothing else.
Yet I found myself pulled back in during Jillian Harris’ season. I didn’t watch it all – I was still bitter it wasn’t all real. But I tuned in. I watched the drama unfold.
And then, one night, it happened. Love at first sight.
See the necklace Jillian is wearing in this photo?
I knew it instantly – that necklace and I belonged together. I knew I had to have it, no matter the cost.
Finding it was the tricky part!
It wasn’t until Jake Pavelka’s season on The Bachelor that my dreams came true. During the “Women Tell All” segment I spotted contestant Corrie wearing this stunning statement necklace:
Gorgeous, right? I was searching for information about it when came across The Possessionista blog. This woman is a super-sleuth. I don’t know how she does it, but if you see something on TV (especially the Bachelor/Bachelorette) that you have to have, chances are she knows exactly where you’ll be able to find it. She had the deets on the statement necklace (Click here to buy it in EzzaExclusive’s Etsy Shop). However, that wasn’t all she had.
Her superior sleuthing skills were what finally brought my long-coveted pendant and I together!
See this? This is beauty is all mine!
My pendant and special chain in metallic teal. *LOVE*
The maker of this wonderfully unique pendant – which I think actually qualifies as a piece of art – is etsy artisan Ritzy Misfit. Brooke (aka Ritzy Misfit) is a stay at home mom with two young kids who has somehow found the energy to make gorgeous jewelry in her spare-time. She melts and stamps each pendant by hand per each buyers individualized “character” preferences so no two pieces are ever alike. Her best sellers are these initial necklaces, but she also has adorable flowers, dinosaurs and other styles.
As Ritzy Misfit says, “No one is perfect, but we are all beautiful. These pendants give the feeling of being beautiful, unique and rough around the edges at the same time. My work reflects the wonderful, flawed idiosyncrasies in us all. And it makes us breath-taking.”
I love my “B” pendant and just ordered the yellow rose pendant today. These are like Doritos to me. One is never enough.
As for The Bachelor/Bachelorette – I still watch. But now it isn’t the drama that pulls me in. Now it’s the fashion.
…and maybe the occasional drama too. Et tu, Frank?
